Rossmann Hungary Ltd. is one of the most dynamically HELL developing drugstore and perfumery chains in Hungary. It has a nationwide network consisting of more than 240 stores and employs over 2000 workers.
Our client is one of the largest tobacco companies globally with more than 20 years of experience in production and manufacturing on the Hungarian market. They have nearly 1000 employees working on two sites in the country. Their factories export products to more than 30 countries worldwide. As a result of a regulation coming to effect in 2013, national tobacco distributors and market activities are supervised via policies and additional limitations. A few years later this regulation lead to the need of our client’s digital transformation.
Because of a new national regulation the chance for the tobacco market actors to stay on the market was to establish good relations with sellers, to have special agreements that include specific and detailed positioning of their products in the tobacco stores. The fight began among producers to have the best deals and best positions at each store. In 2017 there were about 5400 tobacco store in Hungary and if our client wanted to sell their products in as many stores as possible they had to personally travel to each store in the hope of having new deals.
The situation was complicated by:
The Itiner Digital Platform offered a complex solution for Digital Contract Management which wasn’t only the first step towards the company’s digital transformation but it revolutionized their whole operation.
The components of the integrated solutions included: Itiner Digital Platforms, Namirial (Trusted Biometric signature provider) and Oracle Siebel. Oracle Siebel generated predefined XML files that were automatically processed by Itiner Digital Platform. The platform’s task is to generate and fill out predefined contract forms based on the information in each XML.
Oracle Siebel handles the business logic, and our solutions handles all contract management processes from preparing new contract templates all the way up to the final signature and automatically delivering each contract via email to the tobacco stores.
With the involvement of lawyers, Itiner Digital offered a solution to the question of biometric signatures: Namirial became responsible for the signatures and act as a proper and legal signature solution. Integrating Namirial with the Itiner Platform allowed our client to reduce its signature process to under 10 steps within a few minutes. Using Itiner Platform’s Contract Management in combination with a biometric signature solution, our client’s representatives are now able to negotiate terms, create contracts and sign them with partners under one short meeting. The Itiner Digital solutions are able to create and manage specific forms, automations and streamlined operational workflows customized to the client’s requirements.
Testing and approving a completely new system in a multinational enterprise can take a long time, but as the digital solution was fitting so perfectly to their needs within only 6 months everything was ready to be delivered and to entirely change the client’s contract management.
